CommentsI have found this wonderful site made up of all Muncys and wonder where my family fits in. I have traced my family back to my 5th great grandfather: Myself, Arnold Muncy, Ladette Muncy, Herman Muncy, Andrew Muncy, George Muncy, Henry Muncey. Henry Muncey is located in the Albany Co. NY census 1790 and the last time in the 1830 Cortland Co. NY census. The names and times do not come together to be Samuel 1 side of the family. Could my people come from one of Johns other sons? Or from a William Muncy (possibly brother to Francis1?) Valerie Muncy
CommentsAge: 75. Father: Herman Morgan Muncy. G.Father: O.C. Muncy. Family community: Krum, TX (Denton County). Uncles: Owen, Weldon. Aunts: Ila (Goodman), Zula (Smith), Jewel (Kile). All Uncles/Aunts now deceased. Father died in 1943 (diabetes--blind). My info: married Jewel Dee Huffhines in 1948 -- still happily married. Two sons (Muncys) Steve (Dallas, TX), Philip (NC). Daughter: Deborah (Poteet) (TN). Another relative: Levi. My son Steve is interested in Muncy family history -- contact at: smuncy@mac.com. Bobby Jack AKA Bob or Robert.
CommentsHi.I'm a Muncy, also. My Granddad's name was Taylor Muncy and he married Ola Davis Muncy. My Muncy's came from Ky originally. Was wondering if we were related. I have a cousin that has done quite a bit of work on the Muncy family tree but I haven't gotten to see it. I'll try to contact her and see if we're related.
CommentsHi all fellow muncy's
CommentsGreat website! My dad's mother was Gladys Eden Muncy, daughter of Laura Tennessee Keck and Thomas Jefferson Muncy. He still lives in Knoxville. James A. Ballinger. Two sisters, Muncy Ballinger Brengle and Gladys Ballinger Patterson. And so on and so on. Didn't know if you might like to add all this to your site.
CommentsHello Y'all, My mother was Molly Asher, from Watts Creek.Dill was my Grand Pa.I am 71 Years Young now.
CommentsClem's mother was a Muncy from Maine. Grandfather was Samuel Muncy and gr. grandfather and possibly gr. gr. grandfather were Nathaniel Muncy. Samuel was born 1853 in St. Stephens, N.B. We Know his parents came from Maine and later moved to Patten. There was a Samuel Muncey and family living in St. Stephens at the time Samuel was born. We assume Clem is descended from Francis I. Any help would be appreciated. Great to have a web site.

CommentsHi Todd. I just "tripped" over your website and an very excited. My grandfather (George Curtis) married Isaac Muncy's daughter Augusta Muncy. I am the Secretary for the Curtis/s Family Society and can trace my Curtis ancestral line back to England circa 1590. I have photos of my Grandmother Augusta Muncy Curtis and also a group photo from a Muncy family reunion circa mid-late 1930's. Grandmom was a great lady and made the best fruit pies. It would be great to get in contact with you to trade info, etc. Regards, George Curtis, Centreville, VA.
CommentsI really like going through your Muncy lines. Although non of it matched up with mine, it was nice seeing someone with just a much on the Muncy line. Mine startes in 1810 Jefferson Co, Ohio with Levi and wife Mary Miller and goes on from there.
CommentsMy grandfather was Estil Muncy who moved to Chicago from Kentucky in the early 1900's. He later moved to Northern Indiana and had 2 sons Arthur Muncy and Kenneth Muncy (my dad) and a daughter Shirley. I'd love to hear from anyone who knows anything about my grandfather's family.
CommentsMY MOTHER WAS A MUNCY (SAME SPELLING). HER FAMILY IS FROM UPSTATE NY (LOWVILLE). HER FATHER WAS LADETTE. I DON'T RECOGNIZE ANY OF THE FAMILY NAMES YOU MENTION, HOWEVER THE FORMER SPELLING OF THE NAME WAS ALSO MUNCEY. MY COUSIN IS NAMED TODD! JUST READ THE PRIOR COMMENTS. SOMEONE MENTIONED GEOGE WASHINGTON MUNCEY. HE IS A DESCENDANT OF MINE ALSO!!

CommentsWish I'd known about the site when we had our version of the Muncy family reunion in Dallas in June. Trying to trace our family gets us back only about six generations, then we run into a dead end in Maine or New Brunswick. Good to know we have relatives in NJ. Paul Muncy
CommentsMaybe the link I'm looking for. I'm interested in the "Muncey" family from Maine. Just got word that they may have come from New York. In particular, George Washington Muncey(Munsey)born sept. 2, 1864 in Oak Hill, NB, Canada. Came to Maine and started family. Any links to a family that went to Canada?
CommentsI am a descendent of the Muncey family also. Your web site is great.
CommentsI was just wondering if we are related.
CommentsGreat pleasure to find this site. The Muncy's are admirable people and I have great pride in my name. May good fortune shower you and your's.
CommentsI was browsing through the Reschke Geneology list and came across your site. My father's name is Frank Reschke. This drew me to you. His father's name was Earthman Reschke. They live in Oklahoma. If you have any information I could us let me know. Thank you. By the way, nice website.

CommentsI like Paige's page because Paige is my friend and I enoyed reading long paragraphs about Paige's life. I like music that pops up when you open the home page. I liked how the home page was like the "Bradey Bunch". The player piano was cool cause you can play Charlie Brown Music. My mom thout it was cool that you spent so much time working on the website. I also thout that the family tree was too complicated for kids to understand. The End sincirly, cydney cohn
CommentsI love your web site. It is so awsome. It must have been very hard to put together. My favorite page was Paige's page and the home page. I thought it was very funny how the home page was like the Brady Bunch! Thanks for showing me your family home page paige! Thanks Courtney
CommentsThats a kewl website! Thats awesome how you can see the class pictures and stuff : ) I enjoyed it.
CommentsHi;My name is Ryan Lee Muncey.I was surfing one night and found your web site.I find it very interesting. My father's name is George Muncey born 1910 in Hamilton Ohio.My grandfather's name is Jackson Muncey, born in Hazard KY about 1875.He was one of 12 children of Joseph Muncey of eastern Kentucky/West Virgina area.I really don't know much more than that.I really did not get to know any of my fathers cousins. There is a large generation gap between my father and I.He was 52 years old when I was born.Anyway I also have an older brother Jeff, and a younger sister Nona.We all may be related, but its hard to tell.My side of the munceys have been in the US at least since the early 1800's.I was contacted by a muncey from England about three years ago researching a family tree. Please write back when you can. Sincerly Ryan Muncey
CommentsI am doing some research. My mother is a Muncy from West Virginia...Welch area to give you an idea. I am searching for information regarding the link between the Muncy's and the Horn's and further up the Muncy line. Please contact me if you have information.
CommentsI "stubbled" on your website just checking out other maid services on the web (I own a maid service) what a great family web site you've created. I love the Christmas cards & music, and Erica and Kendall's piano music! How nice and thank you, debbie
CommentsAs a MUNCY from West Virginia, I often try to locate branches of the family tree. Your site was very informative. I also knew some DAVIS family members who were related to MUNCY by marriage. Vivian was a mine operator in McDowell County and his brother became a preacher and moved to Tennessee. My father is Paul, a teacher and my grandfather was Mose, a surveyor, married to Mary Church. My uncles/aunts included John W., Jim who lived most of his life in Portland, Or., Luther, Vada, Virginia.Keep up the good research.
CommentsYou website is very interesting. I emailed your site to my dad. Thomas Muncy. He will enjoy reading the history. Frankie
Commentsnice pictures of your vac/cruise. miss the towers when you get to NYC but such is life
CommentsI wish that you had an inkling of proof regarding the date of birth, place of arrival, and parentage of our famous FRANCIS 1. I have been at this game for 40 years and have yet to find proof of anything other than his marriage at Braintree! Additionally, I have spent several sorties to the enviorns of Carlisle at the Eastern terminus of Hadrians Wall doing due diligence with the MOUNSEY family records which exist in the Archives of that city. There are teasing items which within the time line MIGHT suggest that GEORGE Mounsey, a minor knight in the service of one Lady Howard, MIGHT Possibly be the illusive father. This is the same area where Baron Waltero de Muncey served the King Edward 1 in border scrimmishes one of which removed the famous "stone of Scone" seat of authority of the King of Scotland. It has JUST been returned to Scotland from Westminster Abbey within the last 10-15 years or so. I suspect that Waltero scattered some haystack seed since he died without legitimate issue. I rant so for the time being I shall quit. All in all, I feel that you are DOING GREAT SERVICE to this family. The computer is a wonderful tool! Warm regards Cousin, James A Muncey The Muncey Ranch PO Box 588 Fredericksburg, TX 78624 <jm@beecreek.net> <www.munceyranch.com>
CommentsMy Mom is a Muncy & I have been doing some family research lately. Was wondering if we might be related? I would be very interested in sharing family genealogy information. I have traced my Muncy roots back 8 generations. John Davis

We are at the very early stages of discussion, but would welcome the opportunity to talk with you at your earliest convenience to learn more. If that is possible, feel free to e-mail me at the above address or my mobile number is: 512-658-0240. Looking forward to talking and again thank you for the great site... Sincerely, Greg Hughes

CommentsHey....this is a fascinating site! I will come back to it when I have more time. I am part of the Muncy clan that hail from Bland County, southwestern Virginia. We are probably kin somewhere back up the line. I have traced my lineage all the way back to Francis Muncy, who was born in Epsworth, Mass. in 1630. Haven't had the time to cross the ocean and trace further back. Keep up the great work on this page!!!

Hoping to buy one but need to know some technical bits and bobs, like whether one could connect a Yamaha PSR keyboard through MIDI to back you up with percusion, base and background strings etc. Would you know of anyone who can advice me. Many thanks Budds
CommentsThanks for a great site. I'm looking forward to exploring and exchanging ideas and maybe teaching others how to " make music" on their disklavier

CommentsI had fun!

CommentsYour site is awesome.... In frustration over the one way cable modem here at home, I was looking at some discussion items in the dslreports site and saw a posting by "someone in the same town" with a link to their family site. Thinking how big could Ringoes be, I clicked on it only to see that Erica, who is one of Kaitlins friends is on the page ! Talk about a small world.... Anyhow, do you have the new two way DirecWay satellite and if you do how is it working out ? Regards, Roy Tucker (just around the corner) Oh, tell Erica that Kaitlin said hello and her playing of Jolly Old St. Nick is great !
CommentsHi Erica I really like the new web site.Hope to see you soon.
CommentsGreat site! I especially enjoyed the information about Vince Guaraldi. Although I don't have a Disklavier, I do own a Piano Disc piano that is supposed to play midi files. I downloaded your Charlie Brown Christmas midis to a floppy disc, but they won't play my Piano Disc piano. Do you know, or know where I can learn to play midis that I download from the internet? Thanks in advance. Joe Paonessa
CommentsThanks to everyone who has left such nice comments in this guest book over the last six months. Unfortunately, I had a minor snafu with the web server today (11/29/01) and had to re-upload most of the files. The only loss was that the previous guest book entries were lost. Please let us know how you like the site! |
